Riot in Reverse

Everybody loves a prediction Everybody loves a sure thing They were already counting trophies Before they heard me sing Every whisper had a headline Every rumor had a name Funny how they drew conclusions Before they saw the game Let them talk Let them stare Let them think they’ve got me cornered there Riot in reverse Nobody saw it coming Riot in reverse Watch the whole world running They thought the story was finished Watch me ruin the ending Every doubt became a soundtrack Every setback made the news Everybody loves a downfall Till somebody changes the rules I’ve been counted out in public I’ve been underestimated twice Funny how the final chapter Doesn’t read the way they write Let them talk Let them stare Let them think they’ve got me cornered there Riot in reverse Nobody saw it coming Riot in reverse Watch the whole world running They thought the story was finished Watch me ruin the ending Wrote me off, crossed me out, called it over Funny how the ending never showed up Front row seats to a beautiful failure Everybody watching while I rose up Too loud Too late That’s the trouble with certainty Everybody thought they knew the story Riot in reverse Nobody saw it coming Riot in reverse Watch the whole world running They thought the story was finished Watch me ruin the ending
